The Covenant is a casual/HM progression guild on The Jedi Covenant server with a range of content and raiding opportunities. The core group of The Covenant has been together for many years over many different games. We were originally named The Collective, but after merging with a guild called The Covenant early in SWTOR, we voted to adopt the name "The Covenant". We are comprised of a richly diverse group of people from all walks of life committed to having fun. At our core many of us have become real life friends and are mostly composed of StarWars fans who enjoy all aspects of the game.
The Covenant's goal is to provide a casual PvE/PvP environment free of drama, where all members show each other mutual respect while providing opportunities for the small majority who appreciate a little more in the way of Endgame PVP/PvE progression. The Covenant has multiple Raid Squadrons; PVP (ranked and regular), conquest contests, auctions, and all sorts of activity. At the end of the day we are looking for like minded individuals to share our favorite pass time with.
What are we looking for?
- People that would like a place to call home for the long haul (We want you to be a part of our 18 year old family of friends!)
- People who are 18+. Our members range in age from 20’s through 60’s and we have family and their monitored children that participate as well. People comfortable and able to use voice chat. (We want people who enjoy being social and are not afraid to do so) - Veteran gamers and folks new to MMO’s are both welcome. (Been playing since the beginning? Veteran MMO'er? Newbie? We recruit the person not your resume!) - We welcome members who PvP, are casual gamers and those that want to PvE with progression raiding. - Egomaniacs, Pushy or Rude need not apply. Our people come first and we will not put up with inappropriate or rude behavior towards any of our own. This is a Family oriented guild.
Genesis (Servant of The Covenant) -My first MMO was in EQ 1 where I was part of the guild called Heaven and Earth on Veeshan server and it was there ther I learned how to do hardcore progression raiding. Our guild leader's name was Furor(His attitude mirrored his name). Although we were the best raid guild in the game, that was the only thing that made the game fun. When Veeshan split off, I went to Saryrn Server and it was during that time that I decided you can do end game content without the bad atttitudes and poor treatment of the people you're playing with and thus our guild began. I have made some wonderful friends over the years and I really love our guild. Being a HUGE starwars fan has made the transition to SWTOR with all of my friends and family an ubelievable experience!
In RL, I am in my late 40s and I am a financial advisor helping people plan for before and after retirement. I have been married for 25 years to my best friend and I have 3 incredible children that also play SWTOR, when they arent busy with College and other real life challenges. I was nearly 10 when I saw A New Hope in 1977 and it gave me a love for Scinece Fiction and Science specifically, Astrophysics. Something unique about me: I am a Christian Apologist and I am also a third generation Horologist, which means I repair antique clocks in my "spare" time :).
Will (Hand of The Covenant/Conquest Manager) -"Hey guys and gals, my name is Will and I am the conquest manager for The Covenant. I was formerly the New Member Manager for The Covenant and recently transitioned to my current role managing our conquest efforts. I am one of those rare people that has been an active subscriber since launch. I enjoy all facets of the game from leveling and solo content to unranked and ranked PvP to progression raiding, so if you need help with finding a pesky datacron (I'm looking at you mister Makeb Endurance 'cron!), getting a tactical up and running, doing a HM flashpoint, or starting a SM operation, please feel free to send me a holler. In real life, I work third shift in my local hospital's IT department, so you're likely to find me online at weird hours of the late night / early morning.
Fey (Raid Manager) -
Isilin (On Leave) - "I'm Isilin (also go by Mitt on the imp side), and I am the Raid Manager for the Covenant. I've been playing the game for a little over a year at this point, and, being a huge Star Wars nerd, is basically the only MMO I've played (aside from a short stint with WoW). Raiding is my favorite part of the game, and I make it a point to do a lot of HM/NiM Raiding whenever I can. I'm also the leader of Blue Squad (which has cleared all the HM content in the game aside from Revna, Cora, and Master/Blaster), and I'm also on a NIM squad that recently cleared the Dread Council.
I live in Brooklyn, NY with my wonderful fiance (who is currently in med school) and work in Finance. I'm a big fan of Football, so when Football season starts up, you won't be seeing me on as much!"
Stefan (Guild Treasurer) -"Hello and welcome to The Covenant, I have played SWTOR since it went live at the end of 2011. My first guild was short lived because it merged with a guild called The Collective led by some guy whose name I can't remember right now (Genesis). After that, The Collective and their fearless leader (Genesis) merged with The Covenant and the rest is history. I'll try to think of that leader's name (Genesis) when I have a moment. Maybe I'll see him (Genesis) in game and it will come to me. The only other MMO that I have played other than SWTOR is WoW. I played WoW from early 2005 (a few months after it went live) until 2009 (after WotLK).
On the personal side, I have been married to my wonderful wife for 11 years. She does not play MMO's, but she does understand my addiction as she plays "Hay Day" or something like that on her iPad. I also have an 8 year old son (future tank?) who we adopted from Poland when he was 4 years old. Nothing like having your first time out of North America being for a 2 month trip! That was easily the coolest thing I have ever done. Rounding out the family is our 3 Golden Retrievers - Penny, Rosa, and Whispy. Again, welcome and see you in game!
Mez (Recruitment Manager) - "Hello my name is Susanne, though most know me as Mez. I am the Guild Recruitment Manager. I am a gaming/altoholic of sorts. In SWTOR I have 3 accounts, my main account has 40 toons of vaired classes and specs on Jedi Covenant server with more elsewhere. First started MMOs and other gaming in Vanilla WOW and have bounced around since (ie Everquest, Guild Wars I&II, LOTRO, Skyrim, Skyforge,DDO, Neverwinter) till I found a home in SWTOR. As an avid lover of Star Wars it was a great fit. Been playing SWTOR since closed beta and never left even through all the changes and hiccups. What I love most about SWTOR other than the Star Wars theme, is meeting new interesting people and building on that community. Whether it be a chance meeting in a Group finder flashpoint, PVP warzone, or laughing at Jawa Chat, its great finding like midedinvidivuals that are gamers from around the world.
As a stay at home mother of 4 and a disabled veteran, I have alot of play time I split between DnD and SWTOR. So basically if I'm not in an OPs group, PVPing, or leveling the hundreth alt I'm rolling dice. Not a bad way to live in my opinion.
I am 36, originally from Southern California now residing in Eastern Tennessee. My children are 16, 13, 10, and 7. Which as any good mom with time does has fostered their love of gaming as well. I served 9 years in the USAF before medical discharge.
Basically in a nutshell (my full-time residence lol) if there's ever a question or just want to geek out, in general, my ear is always here, and my shoulder always has room for one more to lean on it."
